Empoli coach Aurelio Andreazzoli confirmed Andrea Pinamonti ‘will start’ and expects a tough game against Cagliari on Wednesday night.
The Azzurri have three points from four games in Serie A 2021-22, only beating Juventus at the Allianz Stadium so far.
Empoli arrive after a 3-0 defeat to Sampdoria last weekend and Andreazzoli has revealed he will make some changes for the trip to Sardinia.

Pinamonti, who arrived from Inter ahead of the 2021-22 season, has yet to start but will be given a chance to shine at the Sardegna Arena.
“Tomorrow, Pinamonti will start,” Andreazzoli said at a press conference. “Cagliari are a good team, we have to be goo at giving ourselves continuity throughout the match.
“We have a long way to go, a lot of work and we are convinced that we will be able to improve. We have clear ideas.
“I will certainly change some players, but from a tactical point of view, I will not give any answers.”
