Empoli Coach Aurelio Andreazzoli concedes snatching a 1-1 draw with Milan “feels almost like a victory for us.”
Lucas Biglia’s deflected strike had put the Rossoneri in front after only 10 minutes, but Francesco Caputo converted a penalty in the second half.
“When you go behind to Milan, a side of that level and capacity when we were missing a lot of important players, then clearly you’re happy at getting a result,” Andreazzoli told DAZN.

“I would’ve liked to push Milan more in the final 15 minutes, but we are satisfied and it feels almost like a victory for us.”
Goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano was decisive with a series of late saves on Suso.
“I gave him a pat on the back. We need a strong goalkeeper like him, but I think Gianluigi Donnarumma also had work to do this evening.
“We gave it our best shot, but considering the absentees, we can consider ourselves proud.”
