Anderson: ‘Lazio can aim high’

Felipe Anderson urges Lazio to “aim as high as possible” after a strong start to the Serie A season.

The Biancocelesti are currently in joint-third place, having won four of their first seven League games.

“We’re not surprised, we’re happy with the work we’re doing,” Anderson explained in a Press conference.

“We also wanted to win some of the other matches, to be even higher up the table. We’re on the right path, but we can do better. We know our value and our strength.

“Is the target the Europa League? We definitely have to aim as high as possible so we can achieve the biggest goals.

“We have to take things game-by-game, and win even against the most difficult opponents. We’re strong, we have a young squad with great quality.

“We have to try and win them all.”

The Brazilian has been linked with the likes of Manchester United in the past, is Lazio just a stepping stone?

“I always wanted to do great things, I didn’t come here just to go somewhere else. Of course, in football anything can happen.

“I’ve renewed here though, I really like Lazio as do my family. I want to grow, and if I do that with Lazio, even better.”
