Joao Miranda is pushing for more playing time, so Inter could release him in January, targeting Sampdoria’s Joachim Andersen.

The 34-year-old has made 10 competitive appearances so far this season, but has been increasingly pushed towards the bench.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Miranda has requested a transfer for next month if a suitable offer comes in.

The prime target to replace him is Andersen, a 22-year-old Dane who has impressed since joining Sampdoria from FC Twente in 2017.

Andersen would be another defender to make the move from Samp to Inter after Milan Skriniar.

The idea until recently has been to lay the groundwork for next summer, but if Miranda were to leave, a January approach becomes plausible.

A less likely candidate is Andreas Christensen of Chelsea.
