Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti reportedly wants to bring Napoli forward Hirving Lozano to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Zinedine Zidane stepped down after the club’s first season without any silverware since 2009-10 and Ancelotti returns to the Spanish capital ahead of 2021-22.

The former Napoli coach has started to look for reinforcements on the transfer market and Tuttosport reports he wants to bring Lozano to Madrid.

The Merengues are therefore preparing an offer to convince Napoli to sell the Mexican, who was convincing for the Azzurri in the second half of the 2020-21 campaign.

Lozano, who scored 11 goals in 32 Serie A games last term, is tied to the Partenopei until June 2024, but was initially brought to Naples by Ancelotti in August 2019.

The report claims an offer between €50m and €60m would be enough to convince Aurelio De Laurentiis to sell the Mexico international.

But the patron hopes to keep Lozano at the Stadio Diego Maradona, as he wants to give Luciano Spalletti a competitive squad to fight for a return to the Champions League.

Napoli finished fifth in Serie A, missing out on the prestigious competition due to a draw with Hellas Verona on the final day of the championship.
