Carlo Ancelotti claims Adriano Galliani “is the most important person” at the club and admits “being Milan Coach is not simple.”

There are continual reports that Vice-President and General Manager Galliani will leave the club at the end of the season, perhaps even for a role in President Silvio Berlusconi’s political party.

“Galliani is the most important person at Milan,” Real Madrid boss Ancelotti told Radio 24.

“He is not just a director: he is also a fan, someone who grew up with these colours and has always done his best for his club.

“There is also the directorial aspect, as Galliani has experience nobody else in the world can boast. I don’t know what the future holds, but his hypothetical absence would be a big loss.”

Ancelotti also has sympathy for under-fire tactician Massimiliano Allegri, having been in his place.

“Being Milan Coach is not simple, because the results aren’t the only things that count. You also have to follow the philosophy dictated by President Silvio Berlusconi, which is tied to entertainment and image.

“The Coach has to try to pursue those objectives as well. Mentality counts for a lot within the Rossoneri camp, even more so than results.”
