There are strong reports Carlo Ancelotti will take over at Paris Saint-Germain after the club confirmed talks to terminate Antoine Kombouaré’s contract.

This evening a statement on the PSG website and Twitter feed announced “PSG and Coach Kombouaré would like to clarify they have engaged in discussions which should soon lead to a serene outcome and allow everyone to protect their interests.”

For all intents and purposes, the club is in negotiations to terminate his contract by mutual consent, even though PSG are top of Ligue 1.

Italian news sources insist ex-Milan and Chelsea manager Ancelotti has agreed to take over and will sign a new contract as soon as Kombouaré has been released.

Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo had already worked at Milan with Ancelotti, bringing the likes of Kaka to San Siro.
