Ancelotti, who recently signed a deal to replace Antonio Kombouarè on the French club’s bench, has now begun work with the his new side during their winter training camp in Dubai.

Part of these mid-season preparations for the table-topping Ligue 1 side see them take on Milan in a friendly on Wednesday afternoon UK time. Ancelotti spent five years as a player and eight years as Coach with the San Siro side.

“Milan are a team I know very well,” reflected the 52-year-old in a Press conference in Dubai today. “It will be a great test to improve ourselves.

“It will be strange to meet Milan. I’ll be emotional, because I have good memories with everyone there. We hope for a good game.”
