Carlo Ancelotti has been increasingly linked with the Brazil job after their World Cup exit but the Real Madrid coach has now made his future intentions clear for all to see.

The 63-year-old Italian coach returned to Los Blancos last year after a two-year spell with Everton and he immediately showed why he’s one of the most impressive managers in modern football, comfortably winning La Liga in his first season back at the helm. The victory made Ancelotti the first coach to win all of Europe’s top five leagues, forever writing him into the history books.

Brazil were eliminated by Croatia in the World Cup quarter-finals after a penalty shoot-out and coach Tite predictably resigned following the defeat, leaving the role vacant. Many in Brazil are now calling for a foreign coach to be appointed and one idea that has been gaining steam in Ancelotti.

Speaking to Radio Ancho Sport on Radio Rai, Ancelotti discussed his plans for the future, sending a message to both Real Madrid and Brazil.

“What the future holds for me, I don’t know, I live for the day, for now I’m very happy at Madrid, we have many goals to achieve this season, there will be time to think about my future.

“I have a contract until June 30 2024 and, if Real Madrid doesn’t send me away, I won’t move until then.”

  1. Italy needs him more then Brazil. And at the end of the day he will be a better fit for Italy manager then Brazil. Let Mancini defend his Euro crown but then Id love to see Ancelotti try to win the world cup with Italy.
