Liverpool are looking to Carlo Ancelotti to succeed former Coach Brendan Rodgers, but the Italian seems unlikely to join them.

Rodgers was sacked last Sunday on the back of a series of disappointing results for the Reds.

Ancelotti, alongside former Borussia Dortmund's Jurgen Klopp, represents the most viable candidate to take their bench.

But according to ESPN FC, the former Milan and Real Madrid Coach has shown little interest for the position, not least because he would prefer to manage a team playing in the Champions League.
