Napoli Coach Carlo Ancelotti admits “I really don’t know” what formation Paris Saint-Germain will use tomorrow night.

The Partenopei dominated the first half of the match in Paris, but Thomas Tuchel’s switch to 3-4-3 caused them more problems.

“In the first game they used two different strategies,” Ancelotti reminded the journalists in his pre-match Press conference.

“Now I really don’t know which one they’ll use. They remain a strong team, very difficult to deal with, and at the moment they’re totally undecipherable.

“There’s never a right time to face the best teams, we have great respect for a really strong team.

“Having done well in the first leg gives us more conviction, but it’s still a really difficult game.

“The group is doing well, we’re recovering from Friday’s game. We know the importance of this match and what we have to do.

“We’re fired-up in the right way, and we’ll try to do our best.

"Gigi Buffon? It'll be a pleasure to see him again. I feel respect for a great professional who is still motivated, and affection for a friend."

Ancelotti is a former PSG Coach, what are the differences between today’s side and the one he coached?

“Many. There have been several years of work, with me they were under construction and now the project has been realised.

“There isn’t much missing for their ultimate objective of winning the Champions League, or being among the best teams in Europe, because PSG are already among the best teams in Europe.”

A draw could actually suit the Partenopei, as they host Red Star next while PSG face Liverpool…

“Big teams play to win, not to make speculations on the table,” Ancelotti replied.

“Not least because it’s difficult to predict. The fact that everything is balanced is a positive for us, it wasn’t like that when we drew the first game.

“We were the third wheel, but now we’re right in the mix.

“It’s too early to look at the finish line, we have room to improve and we have to do that without making calculations in the league or in this group.

“The finish line is getting closer, but tomorrow we won’t make calculations, we’ll do our best and try to do something more.”
