Amid rumours linking Khvicha Kvaratskhelia with a move to Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti has praised the Napoli star, saying he is a ‘great player.’
The Italian tactician spoke to Sky Sport Italia on Tuesday on the eve of the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 against Liverpool.
The Italian tactician reiterated that Vini Jr. is the most decisive player in Europe at the moment.
“Right now, I think so, he keeps improving and becoming more and more decisive.”
However, the former Milan coach and midfielder was also asked his thoughts on the current Serie A campaign, especially focusing on Napoli and their star strikers.
“Kvaratskhelia is a great player, he is doing well with Victor Osimhen, they are very efficient,” said Ancelotti.
“Italian clubs are doing well in the Champions League. There could be three clubs in the quarter-finals, which would be a strong signal to Europe.”
Kvaratskhelia joined Napoli for just €10m last summer but has already been linked with a move to Real Madrid with his childhood idol Guti who has recently called on the Georgia international to join the La Liga giants.
Kvaratskhelia, 22, has 13 goals and 15 assists in 28 appearances across all competitions this season and his contract at the Stadio Maradona expires in June 2027.
