Current Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti assures he is not interested in taking the Italy national team job. ‘I like the day-to-day work.’
The tactician was giving an interview with ESPN Colombia and received the question about the Azzurri role from former Parma player Faustino Asprilla.
“I don’t know, I don’t know,” was Ancelotti’s response.
“I like the day-to-day work of training with teams. I’d have to think about a national team role, but I don’t think so.”
Roberto Mancini is under contract until July 2026, so there is no rush to find a replacement on the Nazionale bench.
He has taken Italy to victory at UEFA EURO 2020 and set a new all-time world unbeaten record for a national team.

Italy doesn’t need you… Mancio hopefully stays for many more years!
And then Conte returns to give us another world cup.
