The Red Devils are currently seventh in the Premier League and took the decision to sack David Moyes earlier this week.

The Italian has been one of the early names linked with replacing the Scot at Old Trafford but today distanced himself from the speculation, adding that he wasn’t impressed with the treatment of the recently departed manager.

“At the moment I am very happy in Madrid,” former Milan boss Ancelotti told reporters. “I have the fortune to be working at the biggest club in the world.

“I respect Manchester United a lot but I’m not happy about what has happened with David Moyes.

“My place is here at Madrid.”
