Corriere dello Sport has claimed that the former Napoli coach has targeted the Brazilian, who was one of his most trusted players during his spell in charge of the Partenopei.

The Brazilian was reportedly one of the protagonists of the controversies that took place at the San Paolo during last autumn and was then linked with an early exit from the club.

The newspaper writes that Ancelotti and Napoli have a pact and therefore a move might have to wait until this summer.

The report comes after the Brazilian and the Azzurri seemed to have cleared the air earlier this month, as Alfredo Pedulla claimed that he was “one step away” from renewing his deal in Naples.

The 29-year-old’s contract with the Partenopei will expire in June 2023 and he has played 14 games in Serie A this season.

Allan is out of tonight’s match against Lazio in the Coppa Italia because of a muscle injury and Napoli are currently 11th in the League – 14 points behind Roma at fourth.
