There are growing doubts over Carlo Ancelotti’s future at Real Madrid, as the Italian tactician admitted, ‘I don’t know and don’t want to know’ about his fate at the club following the Champions League exit against Arsenal.

Ancelotti’s future at Real Madrid is in doubt following the Merengues’ elimination from the Champions League quarter-finals against Arsenal.

As reported by Gazzetta, the Italian tactician was elusive about his future at the club after last night’s game at the Bernabeu.

“I don’t know it and I don’t want to know it,” Ancelotti replied when Spanish broadcasters Movistar asked about his destiny with the Merengues.

Ancelotti has one year left in his contract at the Bernabeu, but multiple sources, including Gazzetta, report Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is running out of patience and is convinced about hiring a new boss for 2025-26.

According to the Italian newspaper, Ancelotti has little chance of saving his job, with the likes of Xabi Alonso, Jürgen Klopp, and Alvaro Arbeloa linked with replacing him in the Spanish capital.

According to Gazzetta, Ancelotti is also not entirely happy with Real Madrid’s transfer activity as the club failed to replace Toni Kroos and Nacho and the injured Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal.

“I won’t leave unless they push me out,” Ancelotti continued.

“And when I leave, in ten days, one month or a year, you’ll only hear a word from me: thanks.”

Ancelotti has already been linked with Roma, but according to Gazzetta, the Brazil national team also hopes to hire the Italian tactician for the 2026 World Cup.

  1. Is Football Espana dead? What does this have to do with Italian football? Someone has to meet the deadline huh?

  2. Imagine an Italian football website not talking about the most succesful coach in the UCL, who is Italian…
