Carlo Ancelotti has hinted that if reputed Milan target Sami Khedira is to leave Real Madrid, it won’t be until the summer.

The Germany international is out of contract at the end of the season and, in failing so far to agree an extension, has been linked with the Premier League.

Whilst more recent links have suggested Ancelotti is pushing the player towards San Siro, the Italian is now quoted as indicating any move will only come in the summer, and not as recently rumoured in January.

“We have until June to reach an agreement with him,” he is quoted as telling the London Evening Standard.

“If he wants to sign an extension, the club will renew him. If not, he will leave the team at the end of the season.”

Adriano Galliani suggested earlier today that for Khedira to come into Rossonero consideration, he needs to lower his wage demands.
