Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said he wants to see Roma win with Jose Mourinho and stressed Max Allegri’s Juventus ‘will bounce back’.

The former Juventus, Milan and Napoli coach left Serie A in December 2019, when he joined Everton in the Premier League.

He has since left Goodison Park to re-join Real Madrid and has experience from spells with European giants like Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.

Ancelotti on his time at Napoli: ‘No harmony with the club’

Ancelotti revealed he was an Inter fan during his childhood and spoke about his time with Napoli on Radio Rai, and he also spoke about the current state of affairs in Serie A.

“I see a very even Serie A,” Ancelotti told the radio channel. “Juventus are having some problems and have lost certainties, but I’m sure they will bounce back and be among the title candidates in the end.

“They have maintained the structure of the last year while changing coach and some protagonists.”

Ancelotti’s Real Madrid are first in La Liga and the coach said his time in the Spanish capital is ‘like a honeymoon’.

“For me, it’s like being on a honeymoon,” he said. “I hope to stay here for a long time.

“Despite the fact that Spanish football has lost important plyers, there’s Vinicius Jr, who is doing very well and luckily plays for us.”

Ancelotti spoke about Brahim Diaz too, as the attacking midfielder joined Milan on loan from Real Madrid.

“He didn’t have space here due to a question of competition,” Ancelotti admitted. “He’s an important player for us and we are happy he’s doing well.

“For his growth, it was important to play, he hasn’t become a Rossoneri by chance, but because we know the structure of the club.

“I hope that Milan will remain at the top after returning there.”

Ancelotti was asked if he wants to coach Roma in the future and the Merengues coach answered: “I hope that the Giallorossi win with Jose Mourinho.”
