The Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani met Ancelotti for the fourth time in three days and Milan Channel confirmed another encounter is planned for tomorrow at 11.00 UK time (10.00 GMT).

“If Real had wanted to, Carlo would’ve continued,” Mariann Ancelotti told Vanity Fair in Spain.

“That did not happen, so because of this Carlo needs to recharge his batteries before getting back to coaching another club.”

Ancelotti did state in a Press conference before the Real Madrid dismissal that he would take a year out.

The couple are due to fly out for their vacation in Vancouver – her home town – on Friday.

“We want to take the opportunity to visit places in Spain we could not visit until now. In addition, we will have a new member of our family soon, as Katia is expecting a son to be named Alessandro.

“The people of Madrid have been very supportive and we’ve been moved by the enormous respect and recognition they have towards Carlo. We are very grateful for their love and loyalty.”
