According to the Corriere dello Sport, Milan are an interested party, but are struggling to compete with other reported chasing clubs Chelsea and Arsenal on meeting the player’s reputed €5m salary.

However, it is reported that former Milan boss Ancelotti is in Khedira’s ear two-fold, trying to convince him to turn down the calls from the Premier League and to also lower his wage demands to facilitate talks with the Rossoneri.

It is understood that the 55-year-old may advise the player that a move to Milan would be beneficial, as he did with the transfers of Diego Lopez, Alex and Jeremy Menez.
