Sacked Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has maintained that he has not been contacted by Italian club Roma.

The tactician has a dream of one day bossing the club he appeared for as a player, but it seems that won't happen this summer.

"I have never had any kind of contact with Roma," he told Sky Sport 24. "I also still have to resolve my contract with Chelsea and it is my intention to stay in England.

The tactician has a dream of one day bossing the club he appeared for as a player, but it seems that won't happen this summer.

"I have never had any kind of contact with Roma," he told Sky Sport 24. "I also still have to resolve my contract with Chelsea and it is my intention to stay in England.

"I've had two great years in London, a place where I have felt really comfortable. I want to stay here and I'm in no rush to find a job.

"Since 1995 I've only had a little break from coaching and this could be an opportunity for me to see new things in order to face new challenges.

"For example, I will soon go to see what Luciano Spalletti is doing in Russia with Zenit."

The Giallorossi, who will soon be officially bought by American Thomas Di Benedetto, are expected to show caretaker boss Vincenzo Montella the door.

The latter replaced Claudio Ranieri in March.

Roma have been linked with Stefano Pioli after he kept Chievo up, Barcelona B tactician Luis Enrique and Didier Deschamps of Marseille.
