Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti praised Simone Inzaghi ahead of the clash with Inter and expects a ‘fun game’ at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Los Blancos host Inter in the Spanish capital on Tuesday and Ancelotti expects a different match from the 1-0 win at San Siro in the first round of fixtures.

The former Milan, Juventus and Napoli coach explained both sides have ‘grown’ since the first leg and stressed there’s ‘no pressure’ on either team.

Real Madrid are unbeaten in 11 games and are on a run of eight consecutive wins across all competitions.

“Simone Inzaghi is doing well and has a positive way of relating to players,” Ancelotti told Sky Sport Italia. “At least that’s what I think.

“Compared to the first leg, both we and Inter have grown, there’s more conviction, more quality and continuity.

“It will be a fun game, there’s no pressure for the result. We play for first place, but the minimum target has been achieved. Having an easier last 16 can help you, but if you want to win the Champions League, you must beat the best.”

Inter are second in Serie A ahead of the big game against Madrid and are also on a run of 11 games without a loss, winning the last five on the bounce.

The Nerazzurri must win to clinch first in Group D, as Real Madrid lead the group by two points after five rounds. FC Sheriff Tiraspol have already secured third and a place in the Europa League ahead of their match against Roberto De Zerbi’s Shakhtar Donetsk.
