Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says England star Jude Bellingham ‘immediately’ understood the environment in the Spanish capital, but refuses to answer a question on Kylian Mbappé.

Ancelotti spoke to Repubblica a few days before his sixth Champions League Final as a coach.

The journalist asked the Italian tactician what he thinks about Mbappé, who is expected to move to the Bernabeu on a free transfer this summer, but Ancelotti refused to reply.

“I talk about the very strong players I coach,” he said.

“Vinicius improves every day. Bellingham immediately understood what it meant to play for Real Madrid. It’s a very united group, and it’s proved by how they reacted to Courtois and Militao’s injuries. They’ll know how to absorb Kroos’ retirement too.”

Ancelotti also spoke about his routine before the Final.

“I will eat broccoli, salmon and pasta and have an hour of siesta if possible. On the afternoon of the game, the heartbeat is always high, but on the pitch, it goes back to normal.”

During the same interview, Ancelotti also said Donnarumma is the only ‘top-class’ Italian player at Euro 2024.
