Amrabat resists Al-Ahli, waiting for Manchester United or Bayern Munich

Sofyan Amrabat wants to continue waiting for Manchester United, Bayern Munich or other European sides to make an offer, after Al-Ahli showed interest in the Fiorentina midfielder.

According to Moroccan site Hyzr Sport, the Saudi Pro League side contacted Amrabat’s agent and assured they were happy to pay the €30m asking price and give the player a massive salary increase.

Al-Ahli have been among the most active clubs, already signing Roberto Firmino from Liverpool and Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

However, Tuttomercatoweb insist that Amrabat is still hoping to make his mark in Europe’s top leagues first.

The Morocco international has been on the list for Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Manchester United, but they are not prepared to pay what Fiorentina are asking for.

A move to Barcelona already collapsed in January because of that, just days after the World Cup semi-final in Qatar.

Amrabat turns 27 next month and has been in Italy since joining Hellas Verona in the summer of 2019.
