Manchester United will not activate the buy option on Sofyan Amrabat but are open to a deal on different terms with Fiorentina.

The 27-year-old Moroccan midfielder impressed at the 2022 World Cup and earnt himself a loan move to the Red Devils the following summer, being given a chance to impress in the Premier League after quietly impressing with the Viola.

Amrabat failed to impress during his season on loan with Manchester United, struggling amidst poor form and tactical issues. He failed to directly contribute to a single goal and picked up nine yellow cards across 30 appearances.

The Red Devils are still open to picking up the 27-year-old, who is appreciated by Eik ten Hag, and different terms could be discussed. Other unnamed clubs are also reportedly keen on a deal for the midfielder.
