According to reports in Turkey, Fiorentina are refusing to give a discount on the €15m asking price for Manchester United target Sofyan Amrabat, so Fenerbahce are turning to Sander Berge instead.

The midfielder had hoped to make his move to Manchester United stick after a €9m spend on the one-season loan, but the Premier League side did not take up its option to buy for a further €25m.

He cannot remain in Florence, especially as his contract only runs to June 2025 and he cannot risk being allowed to leave as a free agent.

Amrabat waiting for developments

Manchester United are waiting to see what happens and they received a boost today when TRT Spor in Turkey reported that the Viola were refusing to give a discount on the €15m asking price.

The most recent Fenerbahce offer was €12m, so they are instead now turning towards Burnley outcast Berge.

It leaves the door open for Manchester United to come back in for the Morocco international, but only at the right price.
