Former Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia has backed the potential sale of Rossoneri forward Carlos Bacca.

The Colombian was the San Siro club’s top scorer last season after joining from Sevilla, causing him to be linked with a move to the likes of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

However, the shot-stopper is confident that his former side would be able to adequately replace the 29-year-old, citing Milan’s history in the transfer market as a reason to remain optimistic.

“I think he is sellable, because with the money it would be possible to find someone like him,” Amelia told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Let’s say he is a great forward, as there are around Europe. However, I am confident it will be a good transfer market and I haven’t forgotten that Milan’s best signings have always come on the last days.”
