Ambrosini: Modric ‘similar’ to Maldini
“In terms of charisma and vibrations that Modric transmits when he’s on the pitch, I’d say that the Croat is more similar to Maldini,” Ambrosini told Gazzetta.
“Andrea [Pirlo] was unique in world football for the way he interpreted the role from a technical standpoint. But the feelings that Modric gives on the pitch and for the way he leads the team with his presence, I’d say he’s more similar to Paolo, my great captain.”

Ambrosini also spoke about Milan’s current situation, especially in attack, praising Christian Pulisic and Santiago Gimenez, but warning Rafael Leao that he’ll have to adapt to the new attitude in the Rossoneri squad under Massimiliano Allegri.
