Ambrosini: ‘we should prepare’ to see Maldini at ‘Juventus or Inter’ – Video

Former Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini admitted ‘we should prepare’ to see Daniel Maldini take a different path from his father’s, as he could join ‘even Juventus or Inter’.

Both the Bianconeri and the Nerazzurri were recently linked with a move for the Monza offensive midfielder, a scenario that would mark the end of a family tradition that saw his grandfather Cesare and father Paolo become Milan club legends.

Asked to ‘imagine’ Maldini’s potential move to one of the biggest Rossoneri rivals, Ambrosini conceded that

“As for Daniel, we should prepare for the fact that he could take a different path, even Juventus or Inter” Ambrosini told Radio Serie A.

The former midfielder added that he still doesn’t know whether Maldini will reach the level required to play in a top club, although he believes his improvements are evident.

“At the moment, he’s not [at that level],” he claimed.

“But he made a step forward compared to what he was one year ago, in terms of presence on the pitch and ability.

“He kept improving physically, I don’t know where he can get.

“I think he should keep his ambition level high and continue to be present on the pitch.

“In terms of physicality, technique and courage, he has everything – but to make another step, we should see how consistent he can be.”
