Amauri has claimed that he was close to joining Milan in 2012 and that his goal against them helped Juventus win the first of their eight straight Scudetti.
Amauri signed for Juve in a €22.8m deal from Palermo back in the summer of 2008, but he scored just 24 goals in 100 appearances for the Bianconeri.
“[Joining Juve] a decision that I’d make again,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“There were off-field problems during my second season, a bit of everything was missing.

“We finished seventh twice, but the club was very different to what it is now.
“Some of my teammates stayed with Agnelli and lifted trophies. I had Conte’s support, but Marotta was counting on other players.
“He tried to send me to Marseille, but I refused. After that, the coach left me out of the squad.”
The Brazil-born striker, who played once for Italy, then revealed he could have joined Milan in January 2012.
The Rossoneri ended up taking Maxi Lopez and Amauri moved to Fiorentina, scoring the winner in a fateful 2-1 victory over Juve’s Scudetto rivals that year…
“And to think that in January I could’ve gone to Milan and not Fiorentina… at the end of that transfer window, the Rossoneri told me the negotiations wouldn’t end, but I couldn’t stay still for the whole season.
“My goal at San Siro allowed Juventus, who won at Palermo, to go top, where they stayed for the rest of the season.”
