Augustin Alvarez’s agent reportedly met Fiorentina directors today and will hold a meeting with Milan tomorrow.

The 20-year-old is under contract with Penarol until June 2024 and has scored 23 goals in 38 appearances this season.

According to Calciomercato.com, his agent met Fiorentina this morning as the Tuscans are on the lookout for a new striker as a backup for Dusan Vlahovic.

However, according to the report, Alvarez is not among Fiorentina’s priorities, given that Roma striker Borja Mayoral is currently on top of their shopping list.

The Tuscans are in talks with Roma and Real Madrid, hoping to secure a deal in January.

Alvarez’s agent will also meet Milan tomorrow. He is the same representative as Benfica starlet Darwin Nunez who has been linked with the Rossoneri and Borussia Dortmund.

Both Milan and Fiorentina have also set their sights on another Alvarez, Julian, under contract with River Plate.

However, the competition for the 21-year-old seems to be much tougher with Juventus and Real Madrid also interested in the Argentinean starlet.
