River Plate starlet Julian Alvarez has been linked with many top clubs in Italy and around Europe and the striker has refused to rule out a move in January.

The 21-year-old has scored 18 goals in 21 appearances in the Argentinean Superliga this term.

Inter have been scouting the player and the same goes for Juventus, Milan and Manchester United.

According to Diario Olé, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid have recently made contact with the Argentinean club, asking for information about the promising hit-man.

Scouted by Paratici, could end up in Serie A: who is River starlet Julian Alvarez?

The Argentinean paper reports the latest striker’s quotes about his future, with Alvarez refusing to rule out a January move.

“I don’t know what will happen. We’ll see if I’ll start the pre-season in January or if something else will happen,” he said.

Zanetti reveals truth about Messi to Inter and Lautaro Martinez’s future

“I will make the best decision for me at the right time.”

The striker’s contract with River expires in December 2022, but the club and the player are in talks over a one-year contract extension.

Alvarez has a €20m release clause included in his contract, which, according to Olé, raises to €25m in the last ten days of the transfer window.

Inter vice president Javier Zanetti suggested the Nerazzurri may not be able to play the player’s release clause in January, while Juventus can only make new signings on loan with an option to buy.

  1. Ciao Lorenzo,

Since you wrote the article about Zanetti statement, I don`t understand why would you now write that “the Nerazzurri may not be able to play the player’s release clause?” Are you inventing this? Or is this some kind of personal interpretation of yours?

Zanetti stated: “Right now, there are only rumours.” Keywords: right now (mercato closed)

If you are thinkin of the financial situation of the club, you should perhaps notice how big earners like Eriksen, Hakimi and Lukaku are not on the payroll any more.
Inter generated an incredible €197.05m just from player sales. Sure there were losses due to the pandemic and the figures have been large, but please don`t twist Zanetti`s words.

  2. Lol, yeah they’3 lush in cash. That’s why they had to borrow 235 mil or something from a vulture fund. Expect more major sales next summer.

And they didn’t generate an incredible €197.05m just from player sales. Those sums are paid over 4 or 5 years, so they raked in 40 to 50 million while making 200 mil loss. Or do you really think when a club buys a player for 100 mil that they wire the whole amount the next day?

They have so much depth that nobody would be willing to buy the club and the owners are broke too. So bankruptcy is just a few months away.

  3. @Zambrotta… you are trying sooo hard, just chill mate! The think is Inter will stay, either you like it or
not. If you want to be another “I MISS MARCO BRANCA” dude to fill all your life with hatred and age twice as much as others just be it, have fun torturing yourself. join that dude club too, he is good on it.

BTW i don’t think you read how much your club lost, or you like to ignore it because it’s just doesn’t fit your bills.

And we had buyers but current owners refused to sell TWICE! Google is your friend to look at it.
