Fiorentina have agreed to sell Marcos Alonso to Chelsea for €27m, but there are problems over finding a replacement.

According to multiple reports including Sky Sport Italia, Mediaset Premium and Sky Sports UK, Alonso is expected in London for a medical and will complete the transfer tomorrow.

The issue is finding a suitable replacement and the situation seems to be irritating Coach Paulo Sousa.

It’s rumoured this evening that the first choice was Diego Laxalt, but they failed to agree terms with Genoa.

Another alternative is Maxi Olivera, a 24-year-old full-back at Penarol, but again there are delays putting the move in doubt.
