Inter defender Tajon Buchanan will have to undergo surgery after suffering a serious fibula injury with the Canada national team, so the Nerazzurri have reportedly set their sights on Marcos Alonso and Layvin Kurzawa.
Inter are looking for replacements for Canada star Buchanan, who suffered a severe injury with his national team on Tuesday while preparing for the Copa America quarter-finals.
According to the latest Gazzetta report, Buchanan will need surgery, so he’ll be forced to remain out of action for five to six months. Therefore, the Serie A champions have already started looking for a new left wing-back.
Ex-Barcelona and Chelsea defender on Inter’s radars as Buchanan needs surgery
According to Gazzetta, Marcos Alonso, an ex-Fiorentina, Chelsea, and Barcelona player, is an option for Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio. The Spaniard has just left Barcelona after two years at the club and is available on a free transfer.
French left-back Kurzawa is another option and he’s also available on a free transfer after the end of his contract with PSG.
According to the report, Kurzawa has already been offered to several Serie A clubs, but his lack of playing time over the last few years has discouraged Italian sides from making offers at this stage.
