Juventus fans welcomed back Max Allegri as he took charge of his first friendly, with a revamped line-up against Cesena.

The coach won five consecutive Serie A titles before he was dismissed, so after Maurizio Sarri and Andrea Pirlo spells, the Tuscan tactician has been recalled to Turin.

He was greeted at the Continassa training camp today by a banner from the Viking group of ultras: ‘We have always been proud of you. Welcome back, Mister Allegri’

Paulo Dybala is out injured, while many others are either not yet back or lacking match fitness after the UEFA EURO 2020 tournament.

Allegri therefore chose an unusual starting XI with few recognisable names, other than Weston McKennie, Daniele Rugani, Mattia De Sciglio and Mattia Perin.

The match kicks off at 17.00 UK time at their Continassa training ground in Turin.

Juventus: Perin; De Sciglio, Dragusin, Rugani, De Winter; McKennie, Ranocchia, Miretti; Soulé, Pjaca, Felix Correia
