Allegri wants to continue with Bonucci and Chiellini

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports both Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci will continue at Juventus under Massimiliano Allegri.

Allegri will have his first meeting with Juventus about the future on Thursday and the issues to discuss are many, according to the newspaper.

The future of Cristiano Ronaldo is a hot topic at the Allianz Stadium, whilst the returning coach will also have to give his opinion on the defensive department.

The report claims Allegri made a quick decision about Giorgio Chiellini, who will thus be handed a new contract with the Bianconeri and continue for another year.

The Tuscan coach also spoke with Bonucci and the two have reportedly overcome their problems from the past and are ready to start on fresh terms in 2021-22.

The two captains will therefore remain at the Allianz Stadium and will play an important role in the new team.

Matthijs de Ligt is considered the present and the future of the Juventus defence, but the two veterans can assist the Dutch centre-back and help his growth in Turin.

Chiellini turns 37 in August and his current deal expires on June 30 and his future was uncertain, but the Italy captain, capped 106 times by the Azzurri, can prepare for another year with the Old Lady.
