Massimiliano Allegri was feeling positive as Juventus approach the end of their US pre-season tour, and he seemed ready for tonight’s friendly against Real Madrid.

The Bianconeri arrived in the United States last week for their usual pre-season tour, which kicked off with a friendly against Chivas on July 23, which they won 2-0. This was followed up with a 2-2 draw against Barcelona four days later.

Speaking on Juventus’ Twitch channel, Allegri first revealed that Wojciech Szczesny has been ruled out of tonight’s match due to a slight injury.

“Perin will play in goal against Real Madrid because Tek has a little problem with his adductor. I have to evaluate Cuadrado, then there’ll be the debuts of Vlahovic and McKennie, who’ll put some minutes into their legs.”

The Juventus coach reflected on the Bianconeri’s pre-season tour so far and how things have gone.

“It has been eight days of very good work, we have the last friendly tonight then we’ll return. Everything is going well, we’ll have to be ready for the first league game.”

He looked ahead to the upcoming 2022-23 season, which’ll be interrupted by the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

“It’ll be a strange season this year, it’s like two seasons. Until the World Cup and then in 2023. From August 28 we’ll have a game every three days, hopefully we have prepared well.”

He gave his thoughts on new signing Gleison Bremer, who seemed set for a move to Inter before the Bianconeri entered the fray.

“Bremer has fit in well, he is a very good defender, he has great qualities. All new signings have to be integrated into the squad.”

Finally, Allegri discussed veteran winger Angel Di Maria, who joined the club on a one-year deal to give Juventus another boost in attack.

“Those who can play football like Angel are a pleasure to watch, with and without the ball. He is different and can do things differently compared to everyone else.

“Role? He is so good at understanding the development of the game that we will have to be good at enabling him to the best of our ability.”

  1. I’m wondering where those losers who trash-talked Di Maria before Juve bought him are ?
probably crying hard when they see how good Di Maria actually is

  2. To Brian: yes I take back my words, qnd really was impresed about his performances until now and see how good he is just please without injuries, about pogba is unbielivable dissapointment

  3. @ Forza Juve Tek is a hit or miss, he can make the worst mistakes and then he can come back and perform some Miricale saves. I still think he is a descent keeper. If he can keep himself from making some dumb decisions, then he is a top keeper. Di Maria impressed me so much in that Barca game I knew he would be a good addition, but I did not foresee that kind of performance. He definitely adds so much quality to the team.

  4. I’d rather get knocked around by PhD Feng Shui Max’s schlong. He stretches me, he cream fills me and gives meals of sausage with mayo.
