Milan Coach Massimiliano Allegri believes the Scudetto “will be won by the team with the strongest nerve” and doubts Alessandro Del Piero will leave Juventus this summer.
Only one point separates these teams in the Serie A table and the tactician took to Twitter for a one-off Q&A with fans.
“The Scudetto will be won by the team with the strongest nerve,” said the tactician.
“What do I do when we’re doing badly at half-time? I tell the players a joke. Clearly so far my favourite moment with Milan is winning the Scudetto. If I had to describe this first spell on the bench in three words I would say intense, fascinating and enthusiastic.
“There are many differences between coaching a small club and a more important one. The main thing is that you play every three days and always have the pressure to win, whereas with smaller sides it’s once a week.
“My two years at Milan have helped me grow and taught me to do two things well – communicate and have patience.”
Milan went out of the Champions League quarter-finals to Barcelona and Allegri was asked what he’d change if he played the Camp Nou leg again.
“I’d change the first half result. In any case, I think Barcelona will win the trophy this season. I’d love one day to be in a Champions League semi-final, but for the moment I’ll watch tonight’s game on television.”
Fans on Twitter asked Allegri whether he thought Juventus would part company with captain Del Piero or offer him a last-minute contract extension.
“In my view, Juventus will not let Del Piero get away.”
