Milan Coach Massimiliano Allegri has paid tribute to suspended striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Despite scoring 14 Serie A goals for the Rossoneri this season doubts have been raised over Ibrahimovic's ability to form effective partnerships with his fellow strikers, Alexandre Pato in particular, a notion Allegri refutes.

“The Swede is very good at adapting to the characteristics of his strike partner,” stated the ex-Cagliari tactician.

“He plays in a certain way when Pato is on the field, in another way when next to Robinho, and in another way when he plays alongside Antonio Cassano.”

Ibra is currently serving a three-match suspension and will not be available for selection until the Week 36 visit to Roma, but Allegri is looking on the bright side.

“Ibrahimovic hasn't played much lately due to his suspension, but at least he has the chance to recover from fatigue.”

Despite the Swede's absence, Milan earned a 1-0 win at Brescia on Saturday and are now eight points clear at the top of the table.
