Dusan Vlahovic has not scored in his last 339 minutes of action under Massimiliano Allegri and fears are growing that he will be wasted at Juventus.

The 22-year-old Serbian forward joined the Bianconeri in a deal worth €80m total from Fiorentina last month, being the statement signing following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo last summer. His time in Turin started well, with a debut goal in the 2-0 win over Hellas Verona, but he has not found the back of the net since then.

Vlahovic’s performance in last night’s 1-1 draw with Torino has become a key talking point in the post-match debates, with many suggesting that Allegri’s defensive and ‘negative’ tactics leave the Serbian striker isolated as an attacking force.

In the Derby della Mole yesterday, Vlahovic appeared as more of an apparition on the pitch than a tangible striker. He completed only 14 passes, took only one shot and took only 20 touches, hardly having an impact.

Whilst it may be too early to say, there’s now a genuine risk that Vlahovic will not be able to show his best under Allegri at Juventus, with the Italian coach’s tactical system not the most suitable to his qualities.

  1. What a stupid comment. While the focus is on Vlahovic, who was marked closely, the fault lies with Dybala & Morata, who were completely useless. Dusan will do better next season when he will be paired with Chiesa.

  2. Hysterical article. The team is still building itself and there are multiple injuries. Dusan can’t be expected to grab the ball in midfield and take on everyone. There needs to be a strong team supporting him and it’s not currently there.

  3. I love that Fiorentina sold their want-away UNPROVEN players (Bernadeschi, Chiesa and now Vlahovic) for so much money to Juventus. Bernadeschi is a bench player. Chiesa, like Vlahovic, has great potential but is injured and not yet the finished article. Vlahovic had one good season in front of empty stadiums and is spoken of like Ibrahimovic, Vieri, etc. Let him do it for 3-4 seasons then we can talk. What was the last great player Juve developed on their own? Del Piero? Yikes. Juventus is a club in real decline. Their fans just haven’t realized it yet, although some have.

  4. Bobo

There fans haven’t realized it yet because they are too busy hating and trolling on Inter Milan

The more they hate, the worse their team become

    You reap what you sow

  5. With allegri on the bench it will be difficult to develope there own players. Allegri has no trust in there own youth. He send Fagioli and Rovella away and keep average players such as Rabiot, Bentancur . these players doesn’t create much nor scoring goals

  6. Moise Kean is now suffering pretty much. He doesn’t know how to use that kid. He is detroying a great talent as Rugani who for me should already be starter for Juve and a regular for italy. Allegri will surely win notting in Europe only in italy

  7. When italian teams won in Europe, most of there players in the starting eleven were italians .now italian teams they have almost only foreigner in there squad and can win Europe anymore.

  8. 😂 😂 😂. lol Allegri. Vlahovic was scoring freely with Fiorentina and looked so comfortable under Italiano. Now he has a trainer who’s first thought is to think safety at at costs. Juventus better get their act together quickly as their pump has no oil. Vlahovic is getting very thirsty.

  9. This is a risk AND a reality with every player under Allegri not just Vlahovic. I don’t know why this is news.

  10. Vlahovic has played less than a handful of games. Behave yourselves. And Bobo, why do Juve need homegrown players when they can pluck from feeder clubs like Fiorentina? Italian players tend to grow at Juve which is why the nazionale, when they win finals, has always done so with a solid Juve core. 2006, Buffon and Canna were a wall. Not to mention Del Piero, Camoranesi and Zambrotta. Most represented club in the final with players in both sides. Euros, defensive core including the final scorer. So go back to hating Juve but cheering on their players when they win for the nazionale.

  11. Although I would love for him to do poorly at Juve, he’s had a great impact already and will no doubt continue to do so. Just because he doesn’t score in one match, it’s hardly cause for pointing fingers. When Chiesa is back from injury, Juve will have a truly scary lineup up front.

  12. I think this article and conversation is not mature, we can not judge so quickly, we need to calm down little, however, I do agree that Allegri is not a coach that could win in Europe easily and his defensive approach for games limits the team and the players, also agree that Juventus must invest in youth more!

  13. Bobo is a football ignorant and has little to none knowledge. It takes players few months to get used to their new team. This article is so idiotic and the author is very biased. I cannot believe how silly and childish the author is.

  14. Allegri had for a few games a formula of Arthur and Loca forward and feeding ball to Dusan and those games even got players standing ovations. Why did he change that and make them sit deep when dep you have Zakaria a defender midfielder.

I like Allegri especially at Juv TV he’s a dapper fellow, when he speaks on their giant screen he is like the Italian James Bond and sit in awe and ogle his words. However he and not the players needs to be more consistent and if a formula works (above) don’t reinvent the wheel.

  15. It is Allegris fault. He needs to learn to coach with the talent he has. Vlahovic is only as good as his supporting players. He can’t be the only player in the box. He needs support to be the scorer he is destined to be. Cuadrado is the only real winger they have that attacks. I feel Napoli is the same with Osimhen. Insigne offers no real support. Zielinski is the only attacker in the box to support him. Chiesa will help when he heals. And Lozano can replace Insigne when he heals.

  16. Why is everyone badmouthing Allegri so hard. We’re undefeated in our last 15 games , why isn’t that being talked about. We haven’t lost a game since November

  17. Bottom line, Allegri ruins attacking midfielders and this shows in how his teams play. He has Locatelli playing too deep which will eventually ruin him because his skills are different then Pirlo’s. Arthur also plays too deep. Pjanic played too deep also and just became a recycler of the ball under Allegri instead of the attacking box to box predator he was at Roma. In midfield they always concede to the opposition and the entire team runs deep into their half to defend instead of pressing and trying to contain higher up the pitch. Morata and Dybala are not going to do that, its not their skill set. He tries to convert players into how he wants them to play instead of using their skills properly. Terrible coach. Always has been and always will be.

  18. #Gman, I agree with 100% when it comes to Allegri. I do not know I thought the Simpson seasons are over why the Juve management brought him back. Allegri with his long nose is one of the Simpsons characters.

  19. Reopointing allegri was a step backwards for Juventus. With Chiesa season over Juve can mis out of the top four. You can see that he doesn’t know how to get the best out of younger player such as Kean who should be hungier when coming on to the pitch.
I am sure Bentacur and Kulu will drive onder Conte at tottham

  20. No surprises here. When Vlahovic sign for Juve I just can’t help but feel sorry for the man, Allegri will destroy his career. I am saying this as Juve fan. If you watch Dusan’s games since he is still 10, he will only effective in a free-flowing teams. Allegri is a strict coach. Going after one goal and then he will try to shut the door with his super defensive tactics. If facing tougher opponents, he will go for a draw first. This team is not for a player like Ronaldo or Vlahovic.

  21. Hey Interisti, don’t worry about Dusan, at least he has scored more than Martinez in those 3 weeks. Poor Lautaro is missing Lukaku, another big game choker. Old man Dzeko too was shown up badly against Liverpool.

  22. I told you before Juve fans don’t get excited because he is going to be a FLOP, the debut goal was a morphine shot to you guys and the win of Milan over Inter also was a Morphine shot to Milans fan to convince them that their team is strong and no need for a winter market!!!!
    Anyways Forza Inter forever 🖤💙

  23. @Frankie

Yes I agree lautaro is VERY disappointing lately and dzeko needs a lot of chances to score, but I don’t expect inter to beat pool anyway but if ur juve don’t qualify for champs lge after spending so much on Dusan, it will be a double whammy for juve

  24. I dont like Allegri one bit ,
he’s a overrated coach and don’t tell me that he’s reached 2 CL finals with probably the best Juve squad for many yrs which he inherited,
Juve best decision would be to part company in the summer which would be the best decision for Juve,
they are never going to progress with that dummy.
    HE RUINS YOUNG PLAYERS

  25. Don’t worry juve fans, you will still qualify for the champs lge, not bcuz juve are playing well or deserve it, but bcuz Atalanta are dropping more points than juve

    Forza inter ⚫️🔵
