Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri says Federico Chiesa will miss Saturday’s Serie A game against Frosinone due to a slight knee injury.

The Italy international won’t join the Bianconeri squad at the Stadio Stirpe, where Juventus play the last away game of the year on Saturday.

“We have three strikers remaining. Chiesa felt discomfort in his patellar tendon. He wasn’t serene, so we’ve left him at home. It’s nothing big, we’ll see,” the Bianconeri said at a press conference on Friday.

Allegri noted that Arek Milik had been “decisive” when he was introduced as a substitute over the last few games.

Moise Kean is also injured, so Milik, Dusan Vlahovic and Kenan Yildiz are the only strikers available for the Serie A giants against Frosinone.

Allegri confirmed Adrien Rabiot is fit and “will play” tomorrow. The Frenchman had missed the previous match against Genoa due to a minor foot injury.

Juventus currently sit second in the Serie A table, four points below leaders Inter.

Chiesa, 26, has scored five goals in 15 league games so far this season.
