Massimiliano Allegri was asked his thoughts on Torino‘s Gleison Bremer but refused to reply, revealing a lesson he had learned from Fabio Capello at Real Madrid.

Bremer is one of the best defenders in the league and although he’s recently extended his contract with the Granata until 2024, he will likely leave the club in the summer. Many clubs have been linked with securing his services, including Inter, Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

Juventus are also among the clubs scouting the Brazil defender and according to reports in Italy, the Old Lady could make their move if Matthijs de Lit leaves in the summer. The Bianconeri meet Torino in the derby della Mole tomorrow and Allegri was asked his thoughts on Bremer and whether he’d like to coach him in the future.

Allegri reveals new Bonucci injury and appears to aim dig at Ronaldo

“Don’t let me talk about players I don’t know,” Allegri replied.

“That’s something I’ve learned from Fabio Capello. When he went to Real Madrid, there was a player that he didn’t like. I think he was Redondo.

“However, when Capello went to Madrid, he played almost every game. This means that one has to work with a player to know him well. You can give a judgement, but it would be superficial if you don’t coach him every day.”

Bremer has played 22 Serie A games this term, scoring two goals.

Allegri continued his press conference by previewing the match against the Granata and revealing that Leonardo Bonucci will miss the derby because of a calf injury.
