Max Allegri is reportedly putting Juventus into a training retreat after back-to-back Serie A defeats to Sassuolo and Verona.

The Bianconeri have had a dismal start to the season, and after a series of 1-0 wins, went back to disappointing again.

They were beaten 2-1 at home by Sassuolo and by the same result at the Stadio Bentegodi yesterday.

It means they have only 15 points from the opening 11 rounds, losing four Serie A matches already.

Juventus have a big Champions League clash coming up against Zenit St Petersburg on Tuesday, then Fiorentina in Serie A next Saturday.

With that in mind, Sky Sport Italia, Gazzetta dello Sport and others report Allegri will put the squad into a training retreat from tomorrow up to next Saturday.

That means the players will not go home to their families, remaining at the Continassa ground to better focus on the upcoming games.

There is a hotel at the training complex, making the situation easy to arrange.

  1. All hail Marotta. Built up Inter into a force by starting off with Barella, was able to replace Lukaku and Hakimi as well as bringing in a coach who does not tinker with what was not broken. Correa scored a brace today.

The farmers of Europe will never allow Fagioli or Rovella to go anywhere near the first team as Allegri wants Axel Witsel. Another slow and uncreative player, plus he is old just how Max likes it.

  2. Arise Lord Allegri, cometh the hour, cometh the man. The time is ready to deploy operation dumbo. We can now test try out our new formation11-0-0 with 7 at the back. Rabiot can try out as as our new right back. Kulusevski as a central holding midfielder. Dybala at center back and Pinsoglio at left wing back. Grande Max for taking back what was rightfully yours. You were mistreated and unceremoniously kicked out of the club 3 years for a chain smoking, middle finger pointing former cash teller and hobo. Now you are outsmarting everyone by doing an Alessio Secco 2.0, destroying the club from within. That witless Agnelli does not even realise it, but be careful Pavel is on to you again. Ignore the hate from the spoilt cry baby fans and just remember if they fire you, it is still a win as you get the next 3 years fully paid.

  3. Allegri needs to be put into a retirement home,
He’s being shown up badly by the new age coaches who’s players are confident playing a fast and clinical game, ,
I’ve said it before Juve have a decent squad but dumb coach who is scared of his own shadow which effects his players .
    Except Chiesa

  4. Allegri seems to have lost it. All he knows is to defend and counter. If we score an early goal, he sits down and protects the lead and if the opponent scores first then we are doomed. No creativity and zero killer instinct in this squad. And worst of all, if a player is under 29, he speaks of him as a young player we still needs had a lot to grow and improve. After all chiesa has done last year and in the euros, he still treats him like a kid, i really hope he leaves. Any team in Europe would love to have him. Maybe he can bring back khedira and mandzukic out of retirement and builds on them.

  5. How can Allegri perform better with this train wreck of a team?
There are no hungry wolves only sheeps like Rabiot, Bentancur, Ramsey, Morata and Sandro. Poor management from Nedved and Agnielli is the root cause, they opted for firing Marotta. Traitors!

  6. I think if Allegri is fired then he gets pay for 3+ years left on his contract, yes?

At this moment of time it’s better to stop watching altogether and go hibernate in the mountains or something, rather than watch your beloved Juventus being mistreated by d!ckheads like Allegri and Agnelli.

  7. Breaking News Allegri tells the hierarchy not to buy Vlahovic. He scored a hat trick today and that was more then one goal in game for Fiorentina. Allegri will be mocking Fiorentina for scoring 3 goals as losing 2-1 or winning 1-0 is better. He has out scored Morata and Kean in just one game. Allegri will breathe a huge sigh of relief that a promising young striker will be barred from joining as only Morata will do.

  8. Juventus will be entering ritiro on Monday through to Saturday. Allegri will ask where is Bentancur and Bernadeschi. They never turned up for breakfast. He will wake up at 3pm from their dorm rooms and ask them to go back to sleep just like his football demands. Rabiot will put his socks on and say that is enough for the day. The master tactician Allegri will then teach the art of the back pass with massive projectors explaining how this can be done to perfection. Alex Sandro will also be on standby as assistant back pass coach to the intricacies of the more complex side ways pass. Chiesa will be in detention for the whole week as punishment for being too quick, direct and wanting to make something happen. De Ligt will be crying in the corner thinking why he did not join a PL club.

  9. Give him time to build winning team.
he doesn’t have enough quality players to bring result every match day. man city boss will struggle with current juve team. support and allow allegri to work and he will deliver you champions league trophy in few years. allegri is the right man for juventus.

  10. Halloween time at the farmers club of Europe. Give him time ha ha ha, they are not making it into the Champions League and he can rebuild with Paul Dummett and ask Titus Bramble to come out of retirement. Titus is only 40 years old, slow, error prone and just what Doctor Allegri wants. Good one Massimiliano Solskjaer he can make the team watch re runs from the 1980’s. Allegri will think it is 2021.

Newcastle are on the look out for a new coach and Allegri should be first choice. He knows Newcastle very well as they wear the same prison uniforms.

  11. For those seeking attractive football with this side give your head a shake. We don’t have the players. Never did. Defensive ball is in our DNA. Embrace it. I’ll take all the ugly wins I can get.

  12. The problem is Juventino you cannot even win ugly anymore. 15-15-15 that is the reality. No super league team should aspire to get the 1-0. Even little Verona were pressing for the 3rd goal and lets just say Simeone should have had the hat trick. Conte showed you in his last two seasons that you can score more then one goal. Allegri must have been hiding in the mountains of Afghanistan talking to a goat for the last 2 years.

  13. Verona was emblematic of years of poor transfers and a coaching carousel. Mgmt are to blame for our current issues. Not Allegri. He is doing what he can, but he’s no miracle worker. Conte wouldn’t have better luck with this team.

    Allegri, bring back the grinta!!!

  14. Cant believe the people blaming Alegri for this! Here is a team that finished 4th last season, and sold the best player 3 days before the end of the transfer window. There have been 4 or 5 years of bad transfer windows with the likes of Higuain and De Ligt signed for huge transfer fees, and players like Spinazzola, Cancelo sold off.
Alegri is defensive but also got Juve to 2 champions league finals. He already managed to beat Chelsea this season, but in the league the midfield players lack hunger, concentration and quality, All of them, with the exception of Cuadrado and maybe Locatelli are NOT FIT to wear the Juve jersey. Striker is a major problem too- Morata is finished. and I cant see Kean saving the season.
Chiesa and Dybala are good options, but the spine of the team needs to be so much fiercer and better

  15. People are covering for Allegri way too much. Sarri and Pirlo both had the same squad but this type of football has taken it to a whole different level.

Beating Chelsea is all well and good but if you cannot defeat Empoli, Verona, struggle against Udinese and Spezia what is the point. These are the sort of matches that wins championships.

Playing Rabiot as a left winger and doing this for 2 games is criminal. Not starting De Ligt and taking away his confidence is not right and that is Allegri’s choice.

Seeing the damage Chiesa can do, he should have been made the focal point but Allegri does not trust him enough and the same goes for Kulusevski.

These are coaching decisions made and could be avoided despite having a team where the bulk is not Juventus material.

Sticking with a 4-4-2 and not knowing that Locatelli plays better in a 3 man midfield where he likes to burst into the box is a coaching decision.

Allegri is being out fought even by the likes of Andreazzoli, Dionisi and even Tudor. All have less experience and players that are not elite. The difference is they are young, talented and have hunger.
