Allegri only wants Morata for Juventus

Max Allegri has reportedly told Juventus he only wants Alvaro Morata to complete his strike force and demands new talks with Atletico Madrid.

It is no secret that Morata has always been a favourite of Allegri, while the Spaniard has had two different stints in the Bianconeri jersey.

The 29-year-old had a two-season spell from 2014-16 before Real Madrid activated their buy-back clause, then returned on a two-season loan from Atletico Madrid in 2020 at a cost of €20m.

Juve refused to activate the option to buy for €35m, hoping they could negotiate a massive discount, and so far talks have hit a brick wall.

Now La Gazzetta dello Sport claim Allegri has warned Juventus chiefs that nobody can balance the squad better than Morata, so they need to break the bank for him.

Atletico Madrid are demanding over €20m to make the sale stick, so there could be an attempt to spread out the cost by making it another loan with obligation to buy.

Morata can play as a centre-forward, but also on the left flank in a 4-3-3 formation.
