Both the Star and the Express maintain Arsenal bosses have set their sights on Allegri, who is currently under contract at Juventus.

In recent weeks, Allegri has been less adamant on his Juventus future, noting they’d have to sit down at the end of the season and discuss strategy, but above all ambition for next term.

Ancelotti will be a free agent when his contract with Bayern Munich expires in June and wouldn’t close the door to Arsenal.

“The Gunners know their own future, if their plans involve me then I’m pleased from a professional point of view, but at the moment there’s nothing else.

“My future depends on the chances and projects presented to me, it’s not only up to me.”

Other potential candidates for Arsenal include Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim, former Roma and Barcelona Coach Luis Enrique and ex-Borussia Dortmund tactician Thomas Tuchel.
