Max Allegri announced Alvaro Morata ‘is not leaving Juventus, end of story’ after multiple reports of a Barcelona transfer, but confirms Aaron Ramsey is heading for the exit.

The January window had opened with Morata seemingly agreeing a move to Barcelona, although he would first half to interrupt the two-season loan from Atletico Madrid to Juve.

It had appeared the only issue was finding a replacement for the Spaniard at Juve in order to get the deal done, but in today’s press conference, Allegri slammed the door shut.

“I told Alvaro that he is staying here, he is not leaving Juventus, end of story,” said the coach.

That does not necessarily mean that Juve will activate their option to buy Morata at the end of the season for €35m, having already paid Atletico Madrid €20m for the two-year loan.

The 29-year-old centre-forward has scored seven goals with three assists in 23 competitive games for Juventus this term.

Meanwhile, Allegri did confirm what everyone was already well aware of, that Wales international midfielder Ramsey is ready to move on.

“Ramsey is on the way out of Juventus. I think that the squad will 99 per cent remain what it is right now.”

  1. How is that allegri; football-italia.net says there is no one interested because of players wages? You think you know better than football-italia.net?

  2. Morata wouldn’t have any motivation whatsoever in the 2nd half of the season, knowing that Juve won’t (actually they shouldn’t) pay 35M for 29 years old mediocre goal scorer
