Massimiliano Allegri says Juventus are prepared to replace Matthijs de Ligt if he leaves and is delighted Angel Di Maria and Paul Pogba have joined the club.

The Italian tactician held a press conference at the Allianz Stadium ahead of Juventus’ tour in the USA, starting next week.

Football Italia attended the press conference at the Allianz Stadium.

“It’s a pleasure and an honour to participate in the Soccer Champions Tour,” said Allegri.

“These are important tests. Despite being friendlies, Madrid, Barcelona and Chivas are teams with great technical value, so these games are very important for us.

“Arthur, Federico Chiesa and Kaio Jorge are injured and won’t travel with us. I believe McKennie will have a chance to have a great season at Juventus.

“He is an important Juventus player. Unfortunately, he missed the last four months of last season, he’ll be part of the team that will participate in these games.

“Last year, we didn’t even win a trophy. The signing of Pogba, Di Maria and Federico Gatti, a young player, and the recovery of Chiesa and McKennie will make Juventus more competitive,” the Tuscan boss continued.

“It’s not easy to win, but we must do everything to win the title and do well in the Champions League. The first three months of the season are crucial.

“Pogba and Di Maria are important players technically. They raise the technical level and take the responsibility off other players. They will raise the level and I am happy they’ve arrived.

“Paul arrived in the right way, with great determination and desire for revenge, he has returned home and he has a different physical and technical level.”

Which are his plans for the midfield following the arrival of Pogba?

“We have five midfielders and Arthur is out, we also have Nicolò Fagioli and Fabio Miretti, then Nicolò Rovella and Filippo Ranocchia. We’ll make a decision about these players who need to play a few games to see their level.

Matthijs de Ligt could leave Juventus, although the Old Lady has rejected Bayern Munich’s first offer for the Dutch centre-back. However, the Bavarians are expected to knock on Juventus’ door again with an improved offer.

“As you all know, yesterday there was a meeting with Bayern Munich, but at the moment De Ligt remains a Juventus player, he is training well.

“Right now, De Ligt is a Juventus player, the market is open until August 31, I am happy with what the club has done and if he [De Ligt] leaves, we’ll be ready to replace him in the best way,” said Allegri.

De Ligt is under contract with Juventus until 2024 but has made it clear that he is unwilling to extend his contract. He has already agreed personal terms with Bayern and Juventus are aware that they may have to sell their star defender for less than his €120m release clause.

How about Chiesa? When will he return to action?

“He should be back in mid-September. When there are these kinds of injuries, I always try to be cautious. We’ll be working to have him at his best from January.”

  1. Does not matter who they replace him with. As long as they have Captain Marvel at the helm, more humiliation awaits the 1996 CL winners.

  2. Every article on Juve and the same clown turns up.

You wonder if he has some obsession or some mental illness. Nobody even bothers to engage with him because it will surely be like talking to a madman. Hardly anyone even likes or bothers to engage with him.

He’s hating on Allegri, but the fact is that Allegri is at least 10000 times richer and more successful than that clown. So he can waste his time but nothing will change for him.

Meanwhile, Juve are doing a major revamp and if they start to win trophies again, the clown will look like even more of a clown.

  3. @above If U.S Lard was really a fan of Italian football, he would be engaging in articles on another team. Sadly, he is a depressed troll only commenting on his obsession.

  4. Actually this is purely entertainment! And besides been a loyal fan, nothing in the world is worth insulting a fellow human like us because of football or entertainment! Regardless of how Lord allegri might be hating on allegri or Juve, everyone has the right to expression.
Pls let’s be civil for the sake of our sanctity and dignity.

  5. First of all Lord is not even a Juve fan, second of all he uses different names to reply to his comments which is kind of sad and finally his comments are maybe funny, but to 8 year old kids. I agree with the ban

  6. 😂😂😂 says the guy who finds the time to make a dedicated name just for LORD. Man this guy must have awoken your inner climate change woke snow flake feelings.

  7. @ the ones who are upset with Lord Patron: ypu are the definition pf these woke period we live in, but you are close to the lovely marxists who would ban/exclude people with different opinions tp them. How you feeling commie?

We love your comment LordPatron, you made me smile on plenty occasions especially hence I’m not a juventino but a Laziale. Great banter so God bless and see you around!

  8. 💯 @Burky. To be honest sometimes I agree with @Lord and at other times I do not. It is called an opinion and people like @Lynchy and @ Christina suck up just to try and be politically correct. The one thing I will give lord credit for is the ability to dig his heels in and not cave in to the bullies.

I have never heard him curse or bully anyone, so why cancel someone who is free to give an opinion. He must be doing something right to get all these people worked up and I for one love it. To the person making an actual name to ban him, may I suggest taking up a hobby like yoga. After all isn’t that what the woke people like?

  9. Can we have some comments based on the article guys?? Seriously , I honestly think he just needs a hug from his mom. LOL and I love how the word woke gets thrown around, Just because mainstream media uses it does not mean you can use it in every context. LOL And I Bet that ricky and Reza are just different names the lord of flies uses to pat himself on the back. If you dont mind other opinions then why do you get so offended when other people post their opinions on you?? In the western world we call that hypocrisy. It seems you are the only one who can not take the heat. Anyways I hope you get a hug and kiss tonight. We have enough angry people in this world.

  10. Lord Allegri might be a little harsh on Juve’s manager but he does have a point. Overloading the midfield with slow uncreative players will not bring success. I do think Pogba and Di Maria are good additions and with Vlahovic and Chiesa (when he is fit) will propel the club forward. Forza Juve.

  11. @bugs bunny, for me to make up names is rich coming from a woman who is most likely @ban me for what exactly. You fail to see the point. I have already won. I never have to reply people back unless they have substantive value. Cancel culture is the religion of the woke left. Where I am from, we tolerate and accept numbskull lefties. After all being stupid is not a crime and you’re welcome to your views. Admit you just came on here got on the bandwagon and I live rent free on your head.
