Max Allegri joked with journalists in his press conference, saying they were ‘disappointed’ Juventus flopped in the Champions League, as they’ll miss out on exotic jaunts.

The Bianconeri crashed out of the tournament at the Round of 16 stage for the third year running, this time beaten 3-0 at home by Villarreal for a 4-1 aggregate result.

The coach has been lambasted for making this season a ‘failure,’ but turned it back on the reporters at a press conference.

“We feel sad for you as well. We go out of the Champions League, but so do you.

“You liked having the days out in Munich or Madrid, eh? So we are disappointed for you guys too.”
