Massimiliano Allegri jokes about Paul Pogba’s potential return to Juventus: ‘He won’t be back because he is afraid of challenging me…’

The France star is in advanced talks with the Old Lady over a potential return to the Allianz Stadium.

The Serie A giants have offered their former midfielder a €7.5m-a-year salary, hoping to persuade him to return to the club, snubbing an offer from PSG who can give Pogba a higher wage.

During his latest interview with DAZN, conducted by former Juventus star defender Andrea Barzagli, Allegri joked about Pogba’s potential return.

“He won’t be back, he is afraid of challenging me,” he said, laughing.

The Italian tactician referred to a famous basketball shooting challenge that became viral on social media a few years ago when Pogba was playing for Juventus.

The France international had also challenged Allegri to a football shooting challenge in which the coach also emerged as victorious.

“He lost playing with foot and hands. That’s why he left. That’s the real reason why he left,” the coach added.

Pogba spent four years at Juventus and returned to Manchester United in 2016, completing a €100m move to Old Trafford.

  1. Spoken like a true champion. Grande PhD Max Pogba will never and simply cannot change anyone other then the Feng Master of reverse engineered back, back, down, down. Pogba must be getting bad advice if he gives up on potential suitors like P$G and Real Madrid. To go back for second helpings and to be converted into a make shift defender and holding midfielder beggars belief. Credit to CR7. When he saw the bald dinosaur roam back through the swamp, he got his after burners on and got the hell out there. Rumors have it that he wanted CR7 to play on the right of a 3 man defence lol.

  2. Lord Allegri, actually get a life it’s sad. You read more juventus articles then 90% of juve fans. I don’t even back allegri like that. But when you write 400 words a day for years it just makes you look like a looser.

  3. Haha right! He got his afterburners on and blasted freely into a team that barely scraped into the Europa League and finished 35 points behind the top spot. Captained by Maguire no less… A man who thought he’d silenced his critics when scoring against Albania. Scoring 18 this season, lower than recent memory. So yes, Lord, that makes tons of sense. Credit where it’s due.

  4. How dare you. Criticising Manchester, one of your Chip Butty capitals and institutions of Sub Tropical Britain is preposterous. Funny language “Chip Butty”. You English have a way with words. Going to United was a mistake as he should have gone for City. But Escape From PhD Max Maximum Security Alcatraz, padlocked back, back, down, down was a no brainer. CR7 would have gone anywhere including Papua New Guinea just to escape the slow ball. Cristiano is a clutch player, battled tested, and achieved everything in the game excluding a WC. The fact that Zombie Max shook him to the core is credit to the respect, fear and panic even a beast like Cristiano could not handle. God forbid if Cowboy Max ever gets the Italy job.

  5. Nothing wrong with Manchester under Ferguson. But there’s an example which contradicts anything you could understand. Took Fergie 2 decades to win anything at Utd and start a tremendous winning cycle. The times of hiring and firing coaches (not in the way you guys in the states think… Prayers to Texas by the way but hurray for 2nd amendment), is pretty recent. Teams need continuity.
But yes, well done Ronaldo who City didn’t really want. Could have made an extra fortune in the MLS but I guess he was more afraid of being shot.

  6. Ah Mr Fish and Chips asking you to weigh in on the second amendment is like asking me to make a brew of your favorite Yorkshire Tea. I have no clue on how many tea bags, milk, sugar and the rest of it. Even PhD Max would never drink that stuff. He should down a few Redbulls but that will not cure the prison calcio. Your little bobbies do not even carry and sure could have helped Mr. Palmer, and the poor people on London Bridge now innit. How about your knife crime issues in London and radical issues plaguing your neighbors like Sweden. I admit we’re not perfect, but all the worst issues are in blue states. Hence that is why they are flocking to my beautiful state and turning it more red. I would not expect you to understand it considering TX is five times the size of little old Blighty alone.

  7. Don’t believe everything you read in your news. We have mostly petty stuff here. Instead you guys, red and blue, all dense. You can colour (yes there’s a u in it because we taught you English, which is why it’s called English) it however you want but it’s clear you guys have no control of your laws, waistlines or mental health. US is in no place to lecture anyone on anything. You can’t even do democracy right and still argue about the results and your insurrection attempt. No wonder you’re looking at what’s going on in Europe… Best to look away at the nightmares you have back home. Failed colony… You can keep it.

  8. Bangers and mash learn more history. We invented that amendment precisely to keep you limeys out and to never come again. God forbid if we had lost. Imagine having tiny homes all glued together like your Coronation Street, driving on the wrong side of the road, roundabouts, bad food, rude, miserable people and weird accents. The list goes on. lol you lecturing me on news. Bangers, you’re a blue check marker still going on about a fake insurrection. Go tell that to Crooked, but I guess you are too fixated in your own chip world. How sad is it that it took you guys 5 years to leave the EUSSR and they can still fish for your cod in your own backyard. I thought you would want your own sovereignty to catch all the fish and scampi for your beloved fish and chips. Now I suggest you work on your pronouns. Are you him, he, his, they, she, her or PhD Max pantyhose fan girl cheerleader?

  9. 😂. u 2 are priceless, always going back and forth with your Anglo vs US rivalry.

I do agree with many of your points @NOrata, but being objective does not hurt from time to time.

I think @Lord makes some good points if you cut between the lines. There are many issues with the team as we can see.

Concerning Allegri, I do think a lot of people cover for him and if he gets the players he wants or needs, there can be no more excuses. At some point the manager needs to take full responsibility for the decisions they make.

Even though I am not a Juventino supporter, finishing anything other then 1st or 2nd would be a disaster. Just my opinion but I could be wrong.

  10. You keep talking about Allegri in pantyhose. Tell me, do you jerk it the old fashioned way or do you spice it up with a vibrating butt plug?

  11. Vibration in the right spot makes for a stronger shot. You should see my Trump posters; I’ve nearly made holes in them.
Now I’ll never get the stains out of my Juve magazines that have PhD Max on the covers. But between the butt plugs and the clean shaven sack, I’ll really have to keep PhD Max’s words in mind. CALMA! That’ll let the pleasure last longer.

  12. I tell you what that Allegri can butter my man baps any day of the week. Friday’s are best for me, end of the week and when I am 41.5% capacity, anAlly speaking. How I would love to make him a brew, dunk a few bickies in and other things as well😉 . I don’t mind sharing Allegri, after all he is always in high demand. But nobody and I mean nobody can make him howl like a wolf into the full moon like me. You should have seen him last week in the back of my van, round the back of Asda’s when we were dogging. The issue is I came after 2 minutes, nearly got close to my world record, but quality over quantity is my main selling point.

  13. Any chance of you two just getting a room and leaving us in peace?

Would be nice if the chat was actually about the articles for a change.

  14. After the Sarri experiment failure and the implementation of Pirlo as a stop gap, Juve took the safer far less entertaining approach with Allegri, dull and defensive has proven results in Italy and makes you money in the CL, as a talented forward or midfielder one must question coming to play for a coach like this as personal stats and goals will take a back seat on this squad, the only person who flourishes if they win is Allegri everyone else will get lost in the victory, no need for the highlight reel here..lol

  15. I’d love Pogba back at Juventus
but I’m sure he’s too afraid of Allegri’s Defensive Mentality
I would reconsider playing for Juve if I was in his shoes. He doesn’t wanna get deployed as a defensive midfielder like he was under Mourinho.
He has every right to be concerned about Allegri’s tactics comparing to Zizou’s at PSG.

  16. If you two can’t find a room, mine’s available. Cum on in.

    Hey, if you can’t beat’em, join’em.

Go easy on me, I’m a first-timer and hole is not nearly as stretched out as you two.
