Max Allegri joked about his advice to Moise Kean and why jet-lag made Alex Sandro lose his sense of direction, as Juventus host Roma this evening.
It kicks off at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).
The Tuscan tactician was in a joking mood during his pre-match interview with DAZN, and was asked what he had told Kean to do differently compared to his last appearance.
“Score a goal for a start, that would be important,” smiled Allegri.
“It’s a great game to be a part of and thankfully there’s more of a crowd because of the new rules, so it’s important for us to take another step up the table.”
Alex Sandro is left out after flying back from international duty in Brazil and it seems jet-lag really did take its toll on the full-back.
“Poor thing, yesterday he went in the wrong door. He was trying to enter the locker room and went the other way by mistake, so I figured it was best to let him rest and not play today.”
Allegri meets Mourinho for the ninth time, he’s only won two games, while Mourinho won four matches.
“There is great respect and mutual admiration, of course. He is a great coach and it’s wonderful to have him here again in Serie A.
“It is Juventus-Roma, not a clash between Allegri and Mourinho, which is how it should be.”
